The vision of the UCSF Human Resources organization is to partner with the UCSF community to attract, develop and retain the diverse talent necessary to be the world's preeminent health sciences innovator. We are comprised of:
- The Academic Affairs organization is led by Cynthia Lynch Leathers and comprised of staff that specializes in academic labor and employee relations, academic IT applications, academic policy/compliance, academic data and home loans, and training for the human resources workforce.
- Human Resources Service Centers A-E - directed by Susan Sall, Jenny Schreiber, Jason Stout, Barbara Harkonen and Esther Carter, respectively - are comprised of staff and academic HR generalists who perform all manner of staff and academic services essential to departments. In addition, we have established a transaction team, led by Esther Carmona, which keys transactions for all service centers.
- The Human Resources Specialty Center is directed by Mike Tyburski and comprised of specialists in benefits, compensation, classification, disability management, employment, labor and employee relations, information technology, interim staffing, the Faculty/Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) and learning and development.
The groups work in tandem to ensure departmental and employee human resource needs are met and that the university is in compliance with policy and regulations.
